Edward G. Mackay, MD, FACS, RPVI, RVT
Dr. Edward Mackay is a Florida native who earned his medical degree from the University of Florida Medical School. Dr. Mackay completed a General Surgery residency and a Vascular Surgery fellowship at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. He is board certified in General and Vascular Surgery, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.

MARISSA TUFARIELLO, PA-C, RVT
Marissa is a Long Island, NY native. She received her Bachelors of Science degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Touro College School of Health Sciences in New York. She received her NCCPA Physician Assistant board certification in 2003. Marissa is a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants. She is also trained in the use of vascular ultrasound and received her board certification as an RVT (Registered Vascular Technician) in 2014.
Since graduating as a physician assistant in 2003, Marissa has worked in vascular and thoracic surgery. She worked at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University on the lung transplant team until 2007. At that point, Marissa joined a general and vascular surgery group where she was trained in the latest procedures for venous disease. She is trained in varicose and spider vein sclerotherapy, ultrasound guided sclerotherapy, stab avulsion micro-phlebectomy and endovenous laser ablations. Additionally, Marissa is trained in wound care therapy and has performed hundreds of wound debridements. Marissa plans to continue to excel in the treatment of vein disease by utilizing state-of-the-art technology with Dr. Mackay. Marissa thrives on patient satisfaction and great results.
BETHANY BERGHOFFER, PA-C
Bethany, a native of northern Virginia, received her Bachelors of Science degree from Jefferson College of Health Sciences and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2003. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a fellow of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants. Since graduating as a Physician Assistant in 2003, Bethany worked in emergency medicine and eventually joined our practice in 2010. She has trained under Dr. Mackay’s guidance to perform varicose and spider vein sclerotherapy, ultrasound guided sclerotherapy and stab avulsion micro-phlebectomy. Bethany also provides facial injectable and filler cosmetic services such as BOTOX® and Juvederm®. In addition, she offers treatment for brown spots and facial veins with IPL (intense pulsed light). JILL LANE, LPN | Clinical Specialist
Jill Lane is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), specializing in venous disease. A Pennsylvania native, Jill obtained her LPN certification from the Altoona Area Vocational-Technical School of Nursing and then continued her education at Mount Aloyisus College.
Jill has practiced in a variety of settings, including 8 years as an Operating Room nurse and 4 years in the Gastroenterology field. Her desire to provide personalized patient service brought her to join Dr. Mackay’s practice in March of 2000 as his surgical assistant and nurse. For over 15 years, Jill and Dr. Mackay have worked together as a team, treating patients with the utmost personalized service and state-of-the-art technical venous care in the Tampa Bay area. As an LPN in his practice, Jill assists Dr. Mackay with all procedures related to venous disease.
In addition, Jill takes care of patients that require sclerotherapy for spider veins and is working toward her Registered in Vascular Technology (RVT) certification.
STACY RICE, RDMS (AB), RVT, Technical Director
Stacy, a Florida native, is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). She received her Associates of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Central Florida Institute, graduating with honors. With over eight years experience in peripheral vascular testing, abdominal, OB/GYN, echo and small parts ultrasound exams, Stacy has gained her experience working locally for HCA and BayCare hospitals. Stacy has been with our practice since May 2013. In February 2016, Stacy was promoted to Technical Director.
